In 2019 Rod founded Metalwerx after graduating from Central Lakes College.  He started out building a few roll off dumpsters for his father, and now has grown year after year and has expanded to its own building.

In addition to career opportunities, Metalwerx donates much of their scrap metal to the Central Lakes College Welding Program for the students to use to learn how to weld.
